Having been a yo-yo dieter for years before losing 20 pounds and finally keeping it off, I’ve been through my fair share of ups and downs when it comes to losing weight. What I learned about how to eat for balancing blood sugar when I became a Registered Dietitian totally transformed my mindset around food! I was amazed at how it decreased my cravings, kept me full and satisfied, and I felt more in control of what food I was eating instead of the food controlling me!
As I continued my health journey, I started to fall in love with walking outside and hiking, not only were there beautiful views, but they reduced my stress and anxiety! I started to take interest in how my mental health and emotional well-being had a huge impact on food decisions. I knew I wanted to spend my life teaching others that optimal blood sugar control for weight loss encompasses mental, physical, and emotional well-being.
